There really should be a federal law against airports without smoking lounges. It's bad enough to be trapped in one if these places, or on a plane, full of douchebags, fatties, old people and children. And then to be denied a smoke?
Fucking inhumane.
I don't have a television at home. Airports all have televisions that blast cable news 24/7. How do people watch this shit? After 15 minutes of CNN I feel twitchy and stabby. I don't even need to see it. Just hearing it is bad enough.
Did I mention I need a smoke?

At least your airport has CNN on instead of Fox news. I thought I was going to go fucking insane if I heard one more mention of "blue dog democrats" or "reorganizing our conservative base" one more time. I think the news is the reason why they take away pocket knifes and old ladies knitting needles.
I hate airports. The people especially. Everyone thinks they're fucking entitled. I bring books and ignore the ignorance around me.
Also, I have never been on a plane without the asshole next to me spilling his beer on me except for the one time I sat next to my husband and he spilled his diet coke on me.

If I had to suffer through Fox news, I'd be way stabbier way faster.
I haven't had anyone spill anything on me yet. I'm hoping that day won't come. On the other hand, I usually assume I'm going to spill something on me.
I had to fly this past weekend again. Spent the whole flight grading. The person next to me noticed the heading "Australopithecines" on one of the papers. During the last 15 minutes of the flight, she tried to bait me into a creationism argument. Then she told me that she couldn't get a masters because her school wouldn't let her use the Bible as a primary source for the argument that some cultures (and people) are inferior to others based on their language. Her main focus was on US POWs using Morse Code to tap messages to each other. How this all fit together was beyond me.
