AT&T finally got off their collective asses and enabled MMS for iPhone. I don't really send text message much less pics, so this release isn't that big of a deal for me. Still, it is nice to have basic features found on lesser phones in case I wanted to do so.
Maybe tethering will show up before the next millenium.

Good point about the tethering. I had considered jailbreaking by iPhone, but didn't want to bother with the extra work involved, especially dodging Apple's bricking software and firmware updates and all the hassle that would entail. I'm guessing that when tethering does hit the US, it will be extra expensive.
I have yet to MMS and probably won't really. For me it was more an issue of lacking services that other phones on the network have. It's not like I got a discount on text only messaging from AT&T.
